A. Watts Huckabee, Sr. began his career in 1990 specializing in life insurance, employee benefits and financial planning as a registered representative. In 2009 the practice expanded to include commercial and personal lines insurance planning. Watts and his dedicated staff have made a conscious effort to provide their clients professional advice and value added service that separates them from their competition in the Carolina’s.

Watts holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Winthrop University. He has continued his education by preparing for his Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC) Designations as well as fulfilling multi state annual continuing education requirements.

As a member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and the Leading Producers Round Table (LPRT), Watts has been recognized for his outstanding sales record nationally and in the Carolina’s. He has also been the recipient of the National Quality Award and National Sales Achievement Award which recognize his unwavering commitment to client service. In 1994, he was awarded Winthrop University’s Alumni Association Distinguished Service Award. In 2013, he was named York County Small Business of the Year and Small Business Achiever.

As a native of Rock Hill, Watts is active in the local community by serving 8 years as a past member of the Winthrop University’s Board of Trustees being appointed by Governors Beasley(R) and Hodges(D), past member of the Communities and Schools Board of Directors & The Children’s Attention Home Board of Directors for 8 years, past Chair of the Upper Palmetto YMCA Board of Directors, Past President, Program & Sponsorship Chair of the Charlotte Association of Health Underwriters “America’s Benefit Specialists”, former member of the York County Chamber Workforce Development Task Force, past member of the Westminster Catawba Christian School Capital Campaign Cabinet and volunteered as Probation and Parole Officer with the Department of Juvenile Justice. He is also past President of the Rock Hill Kiwanis Club where he served as Program and Fundraising Chair. He currently serves as the Chairman of the York County Hospitality Tax Commission, member of the Winthrop University Foundation Board, member of the Board of Governors of ChristmasVille, Board of Directors for the Piedmont Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors, Board of Directors for the Fort Mill/Baxter YMCA, as well as the Baxter Townhomes Landscape and Maintenance Committee. He is also a presenter of The Terrific Kids awards for the Rock Hill Kiwanis Club at Ebenezer Avenue School.

Watts has two children, Olivia A. Huckabee and Ansel W. Huckabee, Jr.
